Maternity/Paternity leave info. Plus how to use FMLA for “baby bonding” up to 1 year of child.

On May 21st, 2014 , employees who are members of TWU, Local 100 are entitled to 2 weeks (10 days) paid Maternity/Paternity leave in which they will be paid at FULL run pay. This leave is effective upon the birth & adoption of a child.

The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) can be used to to bond with your new born up to the first year of your child’s birth. If the child have a medical emergency, you can’t find a baby sitter or simply just want to stay home with your child, this can come in handy. Here is the documentation for you to view.
